Kachinas or Katsinas (meaning Life Bringer) originate from the spiritual beliefs of the Hopi and Zuni tribes and are representational of the spirits who carry
the prayers to the people
During Kachina Ceremonies the men of the tribe wear masks and perform dances to become the spirits of Kachina.
There are 400 different Kachinas in the Hopi and Pueblo culture ranging from Animals, Plant Life and Seasons. Hopi dolls are carved and given to children to educate
them with the different Kachina Spirits
